How can that be? And how long has this been going on? Over the years the city has charged me for a nonexistent garage on my property for 3 years starting in 2003 to 2006. I called and wrote letters and they still ignored me. I sent pictures and finally in 2007 they came here and saw no garage. They said I tore it down. No one should ever believe an assessment again.

I tried to view the record for this parcel, but now the search results produce this:

"The information for this parcel has been suppressed at the owner's request."

So much for transparency.

Well, it looks like the city doesn't want to be accused of hiding certain parcels from being viewed by taxpayers, especially the Swedish Cemetery account number27-020-01-07.
Therefore, the city has shut down the entire site such that no other errors can be found. The partnership with Vision Government Solutions to provide transparency in government didn't last very long.

I looked at the new system. Big deal. It only means that the Ford will reject more abatement applications than before, saying, the proof for your assessment is on line for you to see and its been approved by the state. So get lost.

I looked at mine and the 2 properties abutting mine are all larger (house and land) and have a lower valuations. ????

I looked at the comparative sales properties and they are not even close to mine, they are miles away. Completely different neighborhoods. That's not apples to apples.

Nothing has changed. Nothing. The BS continues.

They shut it down. Unbelievable.

Apparently William "Stonewall" Ford doesn't know that by shutting down the property values web site he has unilaterally terminated the public disclosure process mandated by the DOR. How much more will his action delay the DOR's certification? He's running out of the fiscal year!

The Vision Appraisal System is up and running again, but the invisible building remains lost.
